William is an experienced workplace investigator, trainer, and mediator.

He provides effective resolutions to workplace conflict and misconduct through an investigative process that is both flexible and client-focused. Known for his compassionate and adaptive approach, he helps interviewees feel at ease and delivers concise, practical reports.

William’s experience spans diverse workplace settings, including healthcare organizations, universities, post-secondary institutions, and film and television. In 2021, he was appointed to the Government of Canada’s national roster of workplace harassment and violence prevention investigators.

Background

William has been conducting investigations since 2016. He previously worked with Rubin Thomlinson LLP, one of Canada’s leading workplace investigation law firms, and before that practiced employment and labour law at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP. He brings both legal and restorative skills to his practice, having also trained in workplace restoration and mediation.

03 Engagement

We prepare a Terms of Reference and Agreement outlining our mutual roles and commitments. After approval, we schedule a kickoff meeting to confirm details and coordinate communications to the parties and relevant stakeholders.

04 Investigation

With everything in place, the investigation begins. You’ll receive regular status updates throughout the process. At conclusion, we deliver a clear, peer reviewed, comprehensive report including findings, analysis, and—when appropriate—recommendations.
